Jaime Have a question for Jaime? Want to make an appointment? Click here to reach Jaime.
Jaime graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and holds a BA in Textile Design. Her work spans over 11 years in which she dedicated her efforts with a high-end NYC based design firm. From NYC penthouses to seaside estates up and down the eastern seaboard, Jaime’s work is reflected through her love of textiles and color. "I love to see patterns being used in combination, and color being used wisely.” Whether it’s a huge contrast in scale or a calculated dose of intense color in an otherwise monotone space-you can make your room a totally unique space. Jaime’s work is not defined by one certain look. She has very traditional roots, yet she knows how to put together a variety of looks, from cottage, to country to contemporary. Jaime has a great deal of experience managing projects, overseeing the execution and installation, right down to the last detail. "I want my clients here at the Saybrook Country Barn to feel empowered. I take my lead from them. I can put together a hundred scenarios that work, but it’s the homeowner’s job to tune into what speaks to them. Start with one thing you love, and you’ll have no trouble building a room that you will enjoy forever.” Jaime’s advice: "Always be true to yourself, don’t give into trends." |

Jeanie has been with the Saybrook Country Barn for over twenty years. She has a Degree in Interior Design from Paier College of Art. With her experience and impressive time at the SCB, friends and neighbors with decorating dilemmas approach Jeanie frequently. Each time, she is there to help! To have family and friends feel warm and cozy in her home or theirs is an inspiration to Jeanie. Other sources of inspiration are a formal herb garden, a trip to Nantucket and a walk along the beach. She keeps her customers interested in their projects through her excitement. She also believes that if you are truly excited about a person’s home, they too, feel that excitement. It’s fun to work together and successfully accomplish a feeling of honest to goodness contentment when the customer is delighted with their end results. "It gives me such joy!" Jeanie's design style can be described as simple, yet elegant. She uses the appropriate form and scale with natural materials accented with client’s favorites (antiques, oriental art objects, keepsakes etc). Thinking local and eco-friendly, is another one of Jeanie’s priorities. Today’s social atmosphere also requires an eye on “made in America” as well as green materials. Through the love for my home, I aspire to create similar feelings for my clients, giving them a sense of pride for their home and lifestyle. |
