Lauri comes to SCB with over 15 years of experience. She has been coordinating window treatments and custom bedding for designers along the East Cost as far south as Atlanta, GA including CEO’s office on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. Lauri Has a BA from Geneva College with a Double Major in Management Science and Business Administration. Upon graduation Lauri began working for IBM as a product planner. Her position gave her a wide variety of coordinating projects which would later add to her comfort level when working with her design clients. After the birth of her first child, She left IBM and started making custom window treatments full time, using her fashion and design skills from the past. She started her own window treatment and bedding business in Atlanta, GA in 1995. Lauri and her Husband, along with their three children relocated to the CT shoreline in 1997 where she continued on with her custom window treatment and bedding endeavors. Lauri is inspired by color and the personal interests of each individual client. “I gather as much input as possible from them. It is their space and I want it to reflect them, not me the designer. I have a significant portfolio as well as a vast collection of design room scenario photos to help them determine the direction they would like to go with their project.” Lauri’s Design Philosphy: Uniqueness for each customer, Lauri never suggests the same application over and over to make her job easier.
